Penteli Mountain IIby ~pestilence

It was a cold but pleasant evening, day off from work and what better that getting on my bike and heading to a close location for some shots.
So I took my motorcycle around 2 hours before sunset and headed towards Penteli mountain which lies to the North/East of the Athenian city.
It's an ancient mountain, with thousands years of history! Even the marble of the Parthenon was partially taken from it!
Yet the new-greeks (a Greek expression we use for the later generations of Greeks, including myself) paid no respect to it, they burned it to the ground and didn't even consider it's history.
This mountain used to have plenty of Pine trees and aditionaly was one of the "escape" routes for citizens of Athens, but that is no more! No single tree has been left on this mountain which has been devasted not once, not twice but over five times!
It's a pitty that humans do not consider the future...
Unfortunately this mountain was and still is a huge part of the constructions game, city expanding, nature shrinking...
Enough with the epitaph though...and back to our story, got my motorcycle and rided towards my favorite mountain, after the initial (but after so many visits used to for my eye) feeling of sadness, I stopped in front of a huge stop sign (hah...let's all laugh to that) which was informing me(?) that I could not move any further with my motorcycle, and that I had to move on walking (and that was my intention from the first minute).
It's a challenge trying to shoot something here, yes its a mountain, but unfortunately nature it's not at its best look over here, and the city "contamination" is close! You are shooting sunsets with distant tall building and city air polution, that's not something attractive, and becomes even harder if you consider that nearly no plantation is left over this place!
I roamed around for quite a while, until I managed to find a few spots and get some shots, nothing thrilling, but yet pleasant to my eye...
